SO99 has several highly trained RIOT UNITS designed to take action against looting & riots. The team of hand picked individuals have been tried and tested during the looting of 2021 and proved extremely valuable. They rescued and evacuated several trapped SAPS Members and has successfully rescued hostages. The Riot Unit consists of Riot Bakkies as well as fully armoured vehicles. The Goal of the Riot Unit is to minimise damage to property and loss of life.
